Hello my dears! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy! (And too lazy...) I stay up till like, 2 in the morning doing this one. I sketch this in pencil and then traced those lines in black colored pencil. This is one of the best drawings I've done for a while! Everyones reaction when I first show this to them is always "AWWwwwwww..." Which is the exact reaction I wanted. So yeah, comment, rate, and subscribe! Wait...

Raphael's Ending Soul Calibur II Art

I did this while I was at my grandparents house. It's one I'm really proud of. It's the most realistic art I've ever done. Don't give me crap, I know. How is a sword made out of flesh realistic? I don't know, or care. Soul Edge was really hard to draw. Actually, I had the most trouble with the stairs. I know, sword of flesh v.s. stairs. Stairs should be easier. I'm just bad at backgrounds. I had to try, like, 5 times before I got it right. This is the original art that I based my piece on:
This is from the game, Soul Calibur II . I got it from the Soul Calibur Wiki. This is the link to the picture.
I started working on this at around 6:30 one night and finished at 10:30. I wouldn't have been able to do this at home. I don't get the computer for hours at a time. Yeah. If there are any Soul Calibur characters you would like me to draw, leave a comment.

Thank You To:
Grandma and Grandpa. You guys let me have the computer for a long time! Thanks for no set bedtime and fuel of ice cream and Twinkie's.

April and D'nae. Thanks for listening to my constant Soul Calibur rants. I'm sorry I drove you insane with the Raphael talk, April . Your sarcasm was much appreciated D'nae. (Why did you think this art was a drawing of a ninja, D'nae?!?) FYI you two, I'm not obsessed with SC anymore. Still love it, can stop talking about it. You guys rock!

Mom and Dad. Thanks for your support! I can draw things not SC now. I was venting. Maximum Ride next!

Older and Younger Things. Older Thing, thank you for teaching me the pure awesomeness of SC! Younger Thing, thanks for listening to me talk about SC, playing it with me (even though you lose 99% of the time!), and looking at my art before everyone else. And Older Thing, you brutally destroyed me at SC. (With my favorite character too! Guess I'm not as good at Raphael as I thought.) Thanks for slapping some sense into me!

Chibi Soul Calibur

So, I've been on a game called Chibi Maker and I made Soul Calibur characters. Here they are:
Amy Sorel as she appears in Soul Calibur  IV.
Raphael Sorel as he appears in Soul Calibur II.

Tira as she appears in Soul Calibur III.

Siegfried as he appears in Soul Calibur V.

Patroklos as he appears in Soul Calibur V. (And hopefully, the only time he's in a Soul Calibur Game.)
The Sorel's are my favorite characters. (Amy and Raphael.) I like Tira for some reason, even though she's like really evil. Raphael is evil to I guess. (You know, trying to corrupt the world and whatever. Hey, at least he's interesting!) Siegfried is Younger Thing's favorite character. And I don't know why I did Patroklos! I hate Patroklos! He's a horrible character/person. He's a jerk! Anyways, here's the links to the Soul Calibur Wiki Pages for Amy, Raphael, Tira, Siegfried, and Patroklos. I couldn't figure out how to make her in the Chibi Maker but Talim is a great character and my role modle from the Soul Series. I love Soul Calibur so look forward to more Soul Calibur post. Thanks for reading!

Pinkie Pie Pop Art

Okay, I'm sorry I haven't posted. It's day three of me being home, so I feel really bad. Stuff happened. My cousins were here on Saturday and Sunday. And then Sunday night, Younger Thing had to go to the Emergency Room. She's fine. (Sorta.) Anyways, Pinkie Pie pop art! I did this with sharpie markers, which was a lot of fun. We have Flutter Pie (#3), Hotblooded Pinkie #2, and L Pinkie #4. Hotblooded Pinkie is inspired by the Tumblr Blog Ask Hotblooded Pinkie. L Pinkie, (L is my younger cousin) is a neater version of this:
L colored this, and was thrilled that I did one like her's. I'm not as happy with this Pop Art as I am with the others. But hey, I'll do better ones.
Here's the coloring page I used. I have a problem. I don't know which pony to do next! So, if you could, like, comment that would be great. And while your waiting for my next post go look at Ask Hotblooded Pinkie, or my Pony Pinterest Board, or my new Lord of the Ring/Hobbit Board! (Do Hotblooded Pinkie!) Later!

Fluttershy Pop Art

I did another Pop Art! I did Fluttershy, (Thank you April, that was the one I wanted to do!) in Oil Pastels. I'm going to do Pinkie Pie next, in Sharpies. This is the coloring page:
I'm going on hiatus today. I get to go to my grandparents house, and I don't know when I'll be back. Just look forward to Pinky Pie in a week or two. If there are any other characters people want to see in my Pop Art form, leave a comment!
"You are going to LOVE ME!"

Rainbow Dash Andy Warhol Pop Art

I made a coloring page so I could do POP ART! It's so much fun! And it's Rainbow Dash, so that makes it 20% cooler! This is the coloring page:
It's a lot of fun to do, I'm going to do more pony Pop Art. And other Pop Art! (The blue Rainbow's body is a very light blue, not white. It looks white. Frowny face. ): ) Anyways, I think I'll do Fluttershy or Pinky Pie next. Or Hello Kitty. (Why do I want to do Hello Kitty? That was random.) So, which ever pony, (or Hello Kitty) gets the first comment I'll Pop Art-afy! Thanks!

XxxHolic Fan Art: Pipe Fox Spirit

Older Thing walked up to me recently and asked me if I had read XxxHolic vol. 5. When I said yes he said: "Great, draw the Pipe Fox Spirit!" So I did. It turned out wonderfully, after I cleared up which one to do. It ends up looking like this:
Anyways, I'm going to put up a picture of Yuko-sama or Watanuki-kun. Or both! I don't know when I will though. Here's the link for XxxHolic on Amazon. If you have suggestions for things for me to draw, I'd love to hear 'em!

Quoth the Raven

I love Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven. I was re-reading it in a book called Poetry for Young People: Edgar Allan Poe. It really helped me to understand what the poems were about, what Poe was saying, so on. Before each poem there is a summery of it. Here's the summery of The Raven:

This is probably Poe's most famous poem. "The Raven" is a great poem to read out loud. It's a bit long, but with some practice you can read it with the kind of expression that will give your friends goosebumps. The poem opens on a man alone in his house. He is very sad over the death of Lenore, the women he loved, and he is reading to relieve his sorrow. He hears what he thinks is a person knocking at his door. Eventually he learns that it is not a person at all but a bird-a raven. At first he is amused, but soon grows sad. The bird can only say one word, "Nevermore," and that word reminds him that nothing can bring back his lost Lenore.

So now I'm going to give you guys The Raven, but I 'm going to add a little. I'm going to underline my favorite lines, and give the definitions of some of the words. Because sometimes if you don't know what the word means, a sentence sounds like gobbledygook.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
as of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door-
" 'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-
Only this and nothing more."

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow;-vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow- sorrow for the lost Lenore-
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore-
Nameless here for evermore.

And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me-filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
" ' Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door-
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;-
This it is and nothing more."

 Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
"Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you"-here I opened wide the door;-
Darkness there and nothing more.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering , fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore!"
 This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word "Lenore!"
Merely this and nothing more.

 Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
"Surly," said I, "surly that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see, then what threat is, and this mystery explore-
Let my heart be still a moment  and this mystery explore;-
'Tis the wind and nothing more!"

Open here I flung the shutter, when with many a flirt and flutter
In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore;
 Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door-
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door-
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore.

"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the Nightly shore-
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"

Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning-little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blest with seeing bird above his chamber door-
Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as "Nevermore."

But the Raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered-not a feather then he fluttered-
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "other friends have flown before-
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before."
Then the bird said, "Nevermore."

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
"Doubtless," said I, "what it utters is its only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore-
Till the dirges of his Hope that melancholy burden bore
Of 'Never-nevermore'."

 But the Raven still beguiling all my fancy into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust and door;
Then upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore-
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamplight gloated o'er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamplight gloating o'er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!

 Then methought the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose footfalls tinkled on the tufted floor.
"Wretch," I cried, "thy God hath lent thee-by these angels he hath sent thee
Respite-respite and nepenthe, from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil!-prophet still, if bird or devil!-
Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted-
On this home by horror haunted-tell me truly, I implore-
Is there-is there balm in Gilead?-tell me-tell me, I implore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil-prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us-by that God we both adore-
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore-
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore."
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

"Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend," I shrieked, upstarting-
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken!-quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted-nevermore!

Anorexia Must Stop!

The inspiration for this post came from the blog Teens Can Change The World.

Girls think so much about their weight. We go on diets to get the skinny bodies. There is one "acceptable" body shape that you have to have. Why? Why are you teaching children this? Do people know what problems it causes? It leads to this:

Is that pretty? Is that healthy? Yet we encourage it! 90% of girls think that they are fat or over weight. And this:

Is this what we want girls doing? They're convinced that they aren't good good enough. And America accepts it, even encourages it! Anorexia is destroying girls bodies! Women are destroying their body's to be "sexy". They're killing themselves for beauty! It isn't healthy. And everywhere we women look, they show us we need to look that way. Models thin as skeletons strutting up and down the runway. Compare:

                                                   Models in the 1920s:

                                                   Models Now

This is horrible and needs to be stopped! Spread the word about eating disorders!

Avengers Movie Opinions

So, last night I watched the Avengers movie for the third time! I LOVE THAT MOVIE! My advice for the Marvel fan, (like true Marvel fan, you have to be really dedicated), is to watch it multiple times. Some jokes and funny lines I missed because they were talking seriously. Hawkeye was much funnier than I remembered! I used to be disappointed with the character because he wasn't as funny as in the comics I'd say. Oh no, Joss Whedon did better with my favorite character than I thought! And Robert Downey Jr., he is perfect for the role of Iron Man! He made Iron Man my second favorite super hero. And watching The Avengers with my little sister was hilarious, she loves Thor. She would be all like SQUEE! every time there was a scene with him. As for Dr. Bruce Banner, I soo liked Mark Ruffalo better than Edward Norton. The Hulk in The Avengers face actually look a lot like Ruffalo's! As for our lovable Captain America, he sure knows how to give orders! Hulk smash, oh yeah! That's an order! Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, hmmm, none of her lines jump out at me, but all of her fight scenes I was on the edge of my seat. Loki, I don't know, I like him. I guess I have a thing for bad guys. Snape, Loki, Belatrix Lestrange. I love this movie and will continue to watch it again and again. I think Disney is doing great with Marvel and can't wait for Avengers 2! (Which is coming out in 2015 to anyone who is curious!) Avengers, assemble once more!
